Well, CJ is almost 8 months old now and he's moving right along :) He is still pushing up on his arms and sliding backwards whenever we put him on the floor, but just this week he's started getting up on his knees and rocking - so crawling is right around the corner...maybe! He also loves to pull himself up to standing and is doing so now by pulling on our arms or hands, but not on furniture yet.



He continues to talk a lot...da da da, and some occasional na's and la's, but still no mama!

Calvin is all about feeding himself these days - he has to have his fingers in everything and if I don't let him he clamps his little mouth closed and refuses to eat (willful little thing)! I've started giving him mini toast fingers dipped in whatever puree we're trying to feed him. He loves grabbing a bit of toast in his fist and getting it to his mouth. He's now able to feed himself cheerios and little bits of cheese as well.

CJ continues to enjoy his swim lessons - he's always happy to be at the pool and is getting more comfortable with having water poured over his head, but not ready to be submerged yet. Next week we are starting 'Gymbaroo' an activity based educational program. I'm excited to do some fun things with my little man.
