Most of you already know by now that we are expecting a new arrival in the new year - hooray! I am 14 weeks pregnant now, due 6 January 2011...perhaps a new years baby?! I am starting to come out of the fog of the first trimester...my morning (hah - all day) sickness has settled down, and I'm not quite so tired (although I still try to sleep when Calvin does), but unfortunately I'm still having quite severe headaches.

We traveled overseas for a month at the end of May and had a lovely time visiting with family. Calvin was thoroughly spoilt by grandparents and great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins - and he thoroughly enjoyed it!

Calvin has been changing a lot in the last couple months...he's started talking, he runs and climbs like crazy, he walks down stairs (with assistance), and he asks for (well - insists on) things he wants (by saying "eh eh" and pointing....lovely). He can now say hello (at first it was ewwo now it's allo), all done (ah duh), night night (ni ni), uh-oh, oh no, mmMMmmm, and no (nah or neh)....the last of which he uses with alarming frequency (even when he actually means yes)!

He also says ma (more) and points at his mouth, and of course the ever popular mama and dada (along with the variations dadma and mada!).

Calvin is a typical toddler these days....very busy, always exploring, pushing buttons & turning knobs, opening and emptying drawers, rearranging furniture, climbing, tumbling, standing on toys, and generally getting into whatever mischief he can find. :) He loves anything with music and/or lights, and LOVES going outside - for whatever reason. He sniffs every plant and flower - and if you tell him something is pretty he sniffs that as well (jewelry, pictures, etc...)! If something is hot he blows on it (and even when it's not) and if he sees a coffee mug he says hah and blows (occasional saying teh a bit later).

I have a lot more to catch up on, but right now need to catch up on my sleep - so more later (sooner than 2 months...I promise).
