Hello all (or Bula if we were still in Fiji)!
We are back from Fiji, well rested and easing back into the real world! It was a lovely holiday - we did next to nothing beyond reading and going to the pool. The highlight of the week was a trip to the spa one day (fabulous pregnancy massage for me - so nice) and some lovely meals and that was it - yay!
Thankfully the travelling itself went fairly well other than my feet being hilariously swollen after flying. Thank goodness I had my darling husband with me as I don't think I could have managed the airport/bags/heat etc... on my own.
I am quite happy to be home to our comfy bed and good pillows - that seems to always be a problem when we travel, guess we are too picky.
It's only been a couple of days since we've been back, but they've been awfully busy. Here are the updates...
1)Cloe went in to the vet yesterday with an swollen leg - she had a fever and infection so they kept her overnight and are keeping her again tonight to administer antibiotics, drain the fluid etc... I am missing her quite a lot as we only had her home one night, but I'd certainly rather the vet took care of all this. Thankfully it doesn't seem to be cancer related other than her being more susceptible to infections due to being on steroids for so long now. The vets continue to be amazed at her good progress and we continue to be thankful for time spent with her.
2)I had an OB visit today - all is looking good. I am 28 weeks along now and officially in the third trimester - WOW!
3)I had an ultrasound to check for the possibility of growth restriction with the baby (due to IVF - not sure of the connection) and all is looking good, if anything it seems to be measuring a bit on the bigger side - let's hope that levels out! LOL
4)I also had a glucose tolerance test today where I had to drink an incredibly sweet liquid (tasted like Sprite with about 10 extra sugars thrown in!) and sit for an hour before having blood drawn to see how my body coped with the sugar. Personally I felt rather loopy and headachey, however the results are in and I am within normal range. This is great as it means I do not have gestational diabetes and I can fully enjoy the holiday season!! WOO HOO

Sorry for that lack of piccies of us together - I have to find a cord for our other camera!
