Firsts...

Look at my cute new outfit...and my handsome daddy :)

rice cereal...yummm :)

dummies are fun to play with!

yeah - I know I'm cute!

Wow, CJ is just growing in leaps and bounds and discovering new things every day...

Here are some of the highlights since we've been home -

On June 30th at my mother's group he rolled over for the first time! He was the star of the day and continued to roll over immediately every time I put him on his back - too cute. He hasn't figured out how to roll back yet (well he has done it once or twice, but hasn't learned it) so he gets "stuck" on his tummy and gets a bit grizzly after awhile. Luckily he's got mummy and daddy to rescue him :)

On July 4th he started eating solids - daddy fed him rice cereal and he ate it all up (well the half of it that didn't go down the front of him)! I had tried a few days before with no success, so we were quite proud. He has now tried, and liked, sweet potato, pear and banana. He gets very excited and kicks his little legs when the food comes out :)

Some other milestones...
-he reaches for things, including my face and my glasses
-most anything he can get his hands on goes straight into his mouth
-he laughs and giggles with/at us (especially daddy)
-he is sleeping through the night again (yay for solids)
-he is napping longer during the day (and easier to get to sleep)
-he doesn't scream bloody murder as soon as he's put in the carseat anymore
-he loves his rattles (especially if there's a part that fits in his mouth!)
-he slept on his side for the first time
-he has discovered his tongue and is busy experimenting with how far he can stick it out!
-he is reaching his hands/arms out as if he wants to be picked up (awww)

We've been keeping busy lately with going to mother's group once a week, meeting up with girlfriends, going to first birthday parties and trying to make progress on the house (not much success there).

I started using modern cloth nappies (diapers) last week and it went pretty well. We still use disposables at night and had to take a break for a few days when he got a little rash, but they are good and don't create nearly as much extra laundry as I thought they would.

I tried to add a video of CJ, but it was too big, so I'm just going to post this for now, hopefully video later :)
