Caution....bump ahead....

Well, I figured now that I'm almost halfway through my pregnancy it was about time we took a "bump" picture. This poor second child already has significantly fewer photos taken of it!

Yes, I'm out in the backyard in my jammies....what can I say? I wasn't feeling so hot that day!

We had our 19 week, or morphology, scan on Friday. It was lovely to see the baby looking more like a real baby and squirming around. I haven't met with my OB yet, but the sonographer said everything looked fine. We did decide to find out what we're having this time, but I'm not going to tell you just yet! (we want to tell as many people as possible "in person", i.e. on skype) Once again the placenta is anterior (at the front), so we weren't able to get a very good 3D image, but I posted it for you anyhow. :)

19 weeks 3D....alien baby!

Calvin has been very sick this week....after two straight weeks of a cold he woke last Sunday with a cough. After two very rough nights being up with him all hours I took him to the doctor and it turned out he has croup (again). I should have recognized the cough, but it seemed a bit different this time and I didn't want to just give him steroids if he really needed antibiotics, or just time to recover. We've had a few more rough nights this week, but he is finally on the mend. Unfortunately I seem to have picked up the virus he has and am not feeling so great (sore throat, stuffy head, dizzy, tired) - to be honest it's hard to tell what is from pregnancy and what is from an illness, but I certainly do feel worse than usual! I'm also still having daily headaches - luckily there are meds I can take, and really I should go to a physiotherapist, but just haven't gotten around to it.

Calvin just being his cute self

We had some nice weather this weekend and I had the energy to get out of the house this morning, so we were able to pick up some supplies from our local hardware supply and Craig set up Calvin's swing and a sand pit for him. Our backyard is really shaping up. Now we just need Target to get their act together and deliver the play structure we bought for CJ (an early Christmas present - or maybe a happy half birthday gift) and it will be a regular park out there!

My boys in the sandpit :)

Isn't he just gawgeous?!

My kitchen after CJ has been loose in there!

After a VERY long wait Craig's bike is finally being worked on and should be up and running this week (fingers crossed). It's been in one shop or another since right before we came overseas so we are really ready to have two vehicles again (Craig has been taking the bus most days). We'd love to have a second car, but with #2 on the way it is just not in the cards for us.

While writing this post the weather took a rapid turn for the worse and we had a hailstorm - Calvin was pretty thrilled at first, but not so happy once he got some hail on his head and his feet (still bare from the lovely weather earlier) got cold!
