Hi there folks....once again sorry it's been so long. I'm still suffering with daily headaches and taking strong meds for them which make me a bit tired. We seem to have misplaced our small camera that we use most often - hopefully it's just that Calvin has left it somewhere and we'll find it soon.
In the meantime Calvin has turned 18 months old...wow, somehow that seems like a big deal compared to previous months since turning one....we're halfway to having a 2 year old!! In the last few weeks his talking has really progressed. Words like hello and all done have become a lot more clear. He also now says cracker and . Calvin has started making animal noises - he started with an elephant as one regularly appears on his favorite show, then added in sheep, cat and dog. It's very cute - he mews and woofs for pets on the tv and loves seeing his great grandmother's cat on Skype! He will baa for the sheep on his refrigerator toy and if we say sheep.
In the last two weeks Calvin has cut his first and second molars - it meant a few very rough nights for us as he was in a fair bit of pain....poor little thing. He now has 10 teeth. :)
Calvin had his 18 month vaccination this week - just one shot this time for chicken pox. Thankfully he didn't have any reaction to it other than some tears at the moment of the injection (which were quickly fixed by the nurse offering him some cookies)!
They did all his measurements at the doctor's office - he is in the 95th percentile for height and weight and the 90th for head circumference....so his growth is right on track. They weighed him (fully dressed) at 14 kilos (almost 31 pounds!) - which may be a bit high. His height (in shoes) is 87cm (34.25 inches, or 2 feet 10 1/4 inches) - he really is getting quite tall. Our little man is growing, growing!
Our littlest man is growing as well and kicking up a storm - the kicks have become quite a bit stronger in the last couple of weeks - I'm sure Craig will be able to feel them soon. I'm really starting to feel the strain of this pregnancy...the aches and pains seem harder to deal with this time around, but perhaps that's just because I'm not able to rest quite as often with a toddler in the house!
I apologize for the lack of pictures...I'll add some as soon as we find the camera.
