The big chop!

Ok, firstly I must apologize to all the grandmas...no, we did not save any locks of hair. I can't believe we didn't think of it on the day, and I'm quite sad that I didn't save a curl for myself. Even though I had given Calvin a couple of trims in the past this was his first official hair cut.

Calvin was really good - he sat nicely on the raised chair and only looked around when the other hairdressers were using clippers or a blow dryer. Originally I only asked for a trim, but when I saw how long his hair was we decided to go ahead and have it cut, even though it meant losing the curl for a bit. He liked holding on to a brush and clearing the hair off his 'blanket' and also really like seeing the clippers in use. However, he wasn't a big fan of the clippers or hair dryer being used on him, but there were no tears, no fussing and neither of us had to hold him.

I'm going to try and add a video from my mobile phone of him in the park after his haircut, but I'll go ahead and post this for now in case I don't get around to it right away.
