Rain, rain go away...

We've been having a fair bit of rain here as it is winter. We seem to get rain for a week straight, then a week or two of cold, sunny days (much easier to cope with). So, by day 3 or 4 of non-stop rain we are all getting a bit stir crazy.

That's when I have to get creative, or brave one of the dreaded indoor play centers. (Calvin loves them, but inevitable he's sick within a few days of going, and I find them dreadfully noisy and boring!)

When we do get a break in the rain we can do fun things like...

hunt for lizards with daddy

or go to the beach

I actually quite like rain, but since first being a teacher, and now a stay at home mom I find it a bit stressful when it just pours for days on end. Soon enough though it will be summer and I'll be here posting about what a hassle it is to not be able to go out in the heat! Ah well, the grass is always greener, isn't it?
