Sydney fish markets...

Calvin had his first trip to the Sydney fish markets this year. It's a tradition for us to go on Christmas Eve and brave the crowds (the markets are open for 36 hours straight up till midnight on xmas eve and it gets quite crazy there) to get some lovely treats for our dinner. We decided to go a day early this year so Craig took a long lunch and we headed over to Pyrmont. We were thrilled to be able to drive right on in and park without facing a long line at the off ramp or the entrance. It was definitely the right day to go!

We had a lovely lunch of fish & chips for CJ and I, salmon for Craig (and CJ as well). It was quite warm out, but tolerable and Calvin enjoyed the freedom of not being in a high chair (a bit more than we enjoyed it)!

ready to reap the rewards of our day out

yummo!

We settled in for a lovely Christmas eve dinner of grilled prawns and Tasmanian lobster, but CJ immediately refused to eat his food and was rather distressed. We tried a different seat and different food, but nothing was making him happy. Finally after a nappy change we settled down with Calvin on my lap and he was quite happy to be fed there. He LOVED the lobster and prawns....couldn't get enough of it and ate a bit of tomato and his puree as well. A delicious meal for all :)
