Wow, it's been ages since I've posted here - January seems to be going by in a blur of first birthday parties and trying to get organized with a very active 10 month old by my side!
Calvin's latest obsessions are electronics (mostly the phone, and as always the laptops) and using his walker toys to zoom across the room....getting stuck...getting frustrated...mom turning the toy....and repeat... ad infinitum! He has managed to remotely access our answering machine and playback our messages a couple of times, and he also changed our outgoing message to 'silence, shuffling, some heavy breathing, and baby talk!' - too hilarious to change back, but I reckon we may have missed a call or two!! (if you call - be patient :) )
We've had first birthday parties nearly every weekend (with two the weekend coming up) which have been varying degrees of fun to so-so, but are giving us a good idea of what to do for ours. Sometimes it's good to be the youngest in my mother's group :) ETA - I'm not the youngest - CJ is! LOL
The weather has been typical Sydney summer, scorching hot for a few days, then rainy and fairly hot (and very humid) for a few more, interspersed with a few lovely cool days (my favorites), surely to be followed by more scorching heat, especially as February approaches (think August my northern hemisphere pals).
Well, his nibs is calling my name (or as close as he can get to it), so I must be off - another busy day of visiting friends, and doing chores - yay for motherhood :)
